Tax credits, rebates, and other incentives offer a way for home and business owners to make their energy efficient insulation upgrades more affordable. The team at Diversified Insulation understands the importance of maximizing your savings wherever you can, which is why we stay up to date with the available incentives throughout Southeastern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois.

Many of the following programs are run by utility companies or local and federal governments, meaning the details are subject to change. We recommend reaching out to us directly to determine your eligibility and find out exactly how much you can save on insulation, air sealing, and more.

Focus on Energy Rebates

We are a proud Trade Ally of Focus on Energy, allowing us to help Wisconsin homeowners claim several rebates on insulation and air sealing improvements. Virtually all Wisconsin homes with a participating utility company are eligible for this incentive as long as they work with a participating contractor, like Diversified Insulation.

It’s easy to get started with the Focus on Energy rebate program with just 3 easy steps:

Schedule an assessment with our team of insulation and air sealing experts. We’ll help you determine the best plan of action to improve your home’s comfort and energy efficiency.

We’ll provide you with a detailed estimate of the scope of work. Once approved, we’ll make the upgrades to your home in a timely and respectful manner.

We’ll help you with all the paperwork to claim your Focus on Energy rebate, arranging for the check to be delivered straight to your door!

Energy Efficient Home Improvement Tax Credit

Homeowners can claim a federal tax credit worth 30% of qualifying insulation and air sealing upgrades through the Energy Efficient Home Improvement Tax Credit. Also known as 25C, this tax credit is a dollar-for-dollar reduction of your federal tax liability that reduces the amount of taxes you owe for the year you make improvements to your home.

To be eligible for the 25C tax credit, you must have a taxable income and complete work on your existing primary residence in the United States—vacation homes and new construction do not qualify. The annual cap for insulation and air sealing upgrades is $1,200, and if your tax liability reaches zero any remaining balance will not roll over to the following year. However, the Energy Efficient Home Improvement Tax Credit can be claimed year after year as you make upgrades to your home until 2032.
